Wildpine Retirement Community
This Project was a New Build Construction and Hay Design provided Interior Design Services for Wildpine Retirement Community which offers independent retirement and assisted living as well as extended care services for Ottawa Seniors.
Hay Design’s aim and scope for this project was in creating a variety of spaces that would offer a comfortable and family-oriented community for an easy and safe transition to a simplified senior lifestyle. These spaces included a 130-seat dining room and a private dining room to host family and friends for special events. Shared rooms for community use including a tea room on the ground level, activity/ library/fitness area for recreational activities, bar/lounge, spa, and laundry facilities. A health and wellness area with 24-hour nurse supervision. Individual living suites for residents with the option of a studio or one bedroom including kitchenettes, ensuite bathrooms, and some with balconies. A welcoming main lobby with reception and information area for clients and guests, as well as various offices throughout the residence for administration.
The goal was to provide a safe and secure while luxurious fulltime living residence for seniors in a stimulating environment for all users including employees, management, resident visitors and family including amenities such as common areas, lounge areas, café and eating areas and multipurpose spaces with an emphasis on sourcing ecofriendly materials.
